How to Install Your MIZSEI Shower Pre-Filter and Replace the Cartridge
A Step-by-Step Guide to Installation, Cartridge Replacement, and Safe Use
Thank you for choosing the MIZSEI Shower Pre-Filter.
This guide explains how to install the filter between your shower holder and shower hose, how to replace the filter cartridge, and when cartridge replacement is recommended.
Please read all instructions before installation and keep this guide in a safe place for future reference.
Before You Begin
Before installing the MIZSEI Shower Pre-Filter, check the markings on the filter case.
- The “IN” side connects to the existing shower holder or pressure regulating valve.
- The “OUT” side connects to the shower hose.
- Make sure the rubber seals are properly seated before connecting the filter.
- Carefully align each threaded connection and install it straight.
Installing a threaded connection at an angle may result in water leaks or faster deterioration.
⚠ Important Safety Information
- Do not install the filter if the water pressure exceeds 0.5 MPa, approximately 72.5 psi.
- Do not use water from the filter as drinking water.
Part 1: How to Install the MIZSEI Shower Pre-Filter
Disconnect the Existing Shower Hose
Disconnect the existing shower hose from the shower holder.
Unscrew the hose at the point where it connects to the shower holder, then set it aside while you install the filter.

Attach the “IN” Side of the Filter
Attach the “IN” side of the filter case to the existing shower holder.
Before connecting the filter, make sure the rubber seal is properly seated.
Carefully align the threaded connection and screw the filter on straight. Do not attach it at an angle, as this may cause water leaks or faster deterioration.

Special Setup: When a Pressure Regulating Valve Is Installed
Some MIZSEI showerhead installations include a pressure regulating valve between the shower holder and the shower hose.
When a pressure regulating valve is installed, attach the “IN” side of the filter case directly to the pressure regulating valve instead of the shower holder.
Make sure the rubber seal is properly seated before making the connection.

Connect the Shower Hose to the “OUT” Side
Attach the existing shower hose to the “OUT” side of the filter case.
Before completing the installation, confirm the direction of the filter:
- The “IN” side should face the shower holder or pressure regulating valve.
- The “OUT” side should face the shower hose.
Make sure the connection is aligned straight.
✓ Installation Complete!
Your MIZSEI Shower Pre-Filter is now installed between the shower holder and the shower hose.
Before using the shower, confirm that:

Remove the Filter Case
Remove the filter case from both the shower hose and the shower holder.
⚠ Important
Do not remove the metal piece on the “IN” side of the filter case.
Open the Filter Case
Turn the filter case 90 degrees, as shown in the illustration.
Once the case is unlocked, pull out the used cartridge.

Insert the New Cartridge
Locate the hollow end of the new cartridge.
Insert the hollow end of the cartridge into the protrusion inside the “OUT” side of the filter case.
Make sure the cartridge is positioned in the direction shown in the illustration.

Close the Filter Case
Bring the “IN” side and “OUT” side sections of the filter case together.
Align the hollow end on the “IN” side with the protrusion on the “OUT” side. Push the two sections together, then turn them 90 degrees to close the filter case.
Make sure the case is fully closed before reinstalling it.
Reinstall the Filter
Attach the “IN” side of the filter case back to the shower holder or pressure regulating valve.
Next, attach the shower hose to the “OUT” side of the filter case.
Confirm that the rubber seals are properly seated and that all threaded connections are aligned straight.
✓ Cartridge Replacement Complete!
The new cartridge is now installed.
Check that the “IN” side is connected to the shower holder or pressure regulating valve and that the shower hose is connected to the “OUT” side.
When Should You Replace the Filter Cartridge?
Recommended Replacement Schedule
We recommend replacing the filter cartridge approximately once a month.
The actual replacement schedule may vary depending on:
- The water quality in your area
- How frequently the shower is used
- The amount of water used during each shower
You should also replace the cartridge if the water pressure becomes weaker or the water flow decreases.
Replacement Reminder
A one-month replacement interval is a general guideline. Depending on local water conditions and shower usage, the cartridge may need to be replaced sooner or may last longer.
